our "get rid of the junk in your trunk" sale success
This past Sunday, we held our second "Get Rid of the Junk in Your Trunk" sale, and it was bigger and better than the last! The tables on the sidewalk and trunks of cars were loaded with yarn and great deals were all around. I saw Noro Silk Garden going for $3 a skein!!! No date has been set for the next, but we WILL have another in the Spring.

spud & chloe's aztec scarf

Check out what Deb P. whipped up in no time - Spud & Chloe's Aztec Scarf. It took four skeins of their Sweater yarn. If you aren't familiar with Spud & Chloe you are missing out. It is worsted weight superwash wool and organic cotton blend that is super soft and comes in great colors. Deb used Firecracker (red) and Grape Jelly (purple) - which will look great for fall. It is crocheted, so if you need to learn, now is the time!

koigu surprise kpppm p999
To keep things interesting, Koigu has created a new color - KPPPM P999 - that comes out different each time they dye it. You never know what you are going to get when you place an order for P999! Read all about it here. Bliss Yarns received their very own color last week and like all Koigu...we love it! Come by and pick up a skein or two, or three...while you can.

knitscene's oscilloscope shawl
I finished the Oscilloscope shawl from knitscene Fall 2010! I used Malabrigo Twist because I really wanted to use one of my favorite Malabrigo
colors - "Sealing Wax" which we have in stock. Because I used a heavier yarn than called for it is a bit larger, but I think it is perfect! I will use it as a shawl or a chunky, warm scarf. If you have not seen this fall's knitscene, hurry and pick up a copy. It is fabulous!
