trip to market
Last week I traveled to San Diego to the The National Needle Arts Market. This event is held twice a year for all fiber industry people to come and see everything new for the upcoming season. I tried lots of new yarns, saw previews of new books and stood in Norah Gaughan's presence. And to top that off, the temperature was a balmy 78 degrees! I found lots of new things for Bliss, but the biggest score was Koigu. Yes, you read that right. It will be a few months, but Koigu is on the way!
There have been a few updates to the class schedule. You will always find the latest information on the website, but give us a call if you have any questions. We are also planning to add more classes, some Knit-A-Longs and Friday Knit Nights. Stay tuned for more information.

the new year is here

Happy New Year! Thanks to everyone for helping make 2008 such a great year for us. The store has been so busy and fun. It seems the table is always full of great people and great knitting. Everyone here at Bliss Yarns hopes that you will join us in 2009 to see all of the new yarn, books, bags, etc. the new year will bring.
Since January is "knit for yourself month" come on in and see what you can choose from.
Last week we received Jojoland's Melody Superwash in all colors available. Melody is a varigated, fingering weight, superwash wool and at $6.50 a ball a great price too. Their Swirl Shawl - we have the pattern in stock - can be made for under $35. There is a model in the store for everyone to see. Also in recently, Noro's Yuzen.
It is a wool, silk and nylon blend with a suggested gauge of 5.5 stitches per inch on a #6. This is a new yarn for us, and I can not wait to use it. I love this sweater out of Yuzen and have seen several finished projects on Ravelry that are great.
The new class schedule is going up today! We have lots of new ones to choose from in addtiion to old favorites. Call us if you have any questions or would like to sign up.
