Have you met Jared Flood?  If you are not familiar with him, you can become acquainted by visiting www.brooklyntweed.blogspot.com.  He is the guy responsible for the striped Noro scarf that 10,000 people made last year!  All of his designs are classics.  Abby recently completed this tam, the Beaumont, and it is stunning.  You can find this pattern, in addition to many other fabulous ones, in the booklet Made in Brooklyn from Classic Elite Yarns.  Never fear, not all of his patterns are Fair Isle, just beautiful. 

I have heard about "yarn tastings" for quite awhile now, but have never had the opportunity to actually attend one.  That will soon change, because Bliss Yarns will host an Evening of Bliss on Friday, October 30th, 6:30pm.  We plan to sample 10 to 12 yarns, all while enjoying great food - believe me, I have seen the menu - and great company.  The cost is $25 per person, which includes your yarns sampled, access to special sales that evening only, delicious hor' dourves, party favors and lots of fun.  Seating is limited, so call now to reserve your spot.
